Rookie 2.0 boasts professional photo-editing features on iOS
July 20, 2014
Rookie is not much of a rookie anymore in the photo-editing app space with the release of its 2.0 update.
Launched late last January, Rookie is a rather ironically named photo-editing app that brings the look and feel of professional photography to smartphone and tablet images.
Thanks to its 2.0 update, which has been released apparently in celebration of the app's having topped 8 million downloads, Rookie has gained a bunch of new features that "will make your photos extra special!"
Rookie 2.0 introduces four new live camera filters (R-FLEX, 503CX, SL66, CARLTON), 30 new textures (including Vintage, Grunge, TTV, and Romance), and 30 new light leaks (including Instant Film, Bokeh, Lens Flare, Film Burn, and Illusion).
The update also adds Clarity and Double Exposure (for overlapping two images) to the app's professional editing suite. Moreover, its adds new design tools for straightening stickers and copying text.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Rookie 2.0 is available now on the App Store for free.
