Square Enix Hits Hitman Go With First Content Update Featuring New Airport Chapter

July 3, 2014
Hitman Go, the diorama-style turn-based strategy puzzle game based on the popular Hitman series of stealth video games developed by IO Interactive and published by Square Enix, has just been hit with its first content update. The update adds a new Airport chapter to the game, which was released last April. As its name suggests, the new chapter is set in an airport, a new location where your skills as a hitman are put to the test. As you go about your assassination assignments in the airport, you will encounter new game mechanics, including:
  • The civilian mode! Stay undercover until you perform your first move!
  • New high alert guards able to watch two lines at the same time!
  • Skip move: Skip a turn and wait silently to make your move on approaching enemies
  • Walkways: The automated walkways add another level of challenge by taking you directly to extended locations
The new Airport chapter may be unlocked by playing through the game or accessed immediately via a $0.99 in-app purchase. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Hitman Go is available on the App Store for $4.99. It's optimized for iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, fifth-generation iPod touch, iPad 2, third-generation iPad, fourth-generation iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina display. The new version of Hitman Go also includes various bug fixes. For more information on Hitman Go, see our original review, which highly recommends the game "if you’re a fan of the series, or if you just enjoy board or strategy games" and concludes that it's "a must-have game for everyone." Building on the success of Hitman Go, Square Enix Montreal has been hard at work on Hitman: Sniper, a new title that's set for launch this fall to offer mobile gamers a more traditional Hitman gaming experience.
