Images of Apple's 'iPad Air 2' hit the Web, show off new speaker grille
Apple’s “iPhone 6” might have been the focus of many recent iOS-related leaks, but now images of Cupertino’s anticipated “iPad Air 2” have surfaced online, too.
The pictures were posted to Weibo (via Macotakara) and draw attention to a number of design changes expected to appear with the iPad Air 2. This time, however, the leaked images show off the tablet’s rear shell only: changes including a new speaker grille and a relocated microphone are noticable.
Take a look:
Apple’s “iPad Air 2” is expected to launch in Apple Retail Stores this fall, around October. Much like the next-generation iPad mini, the revamped iPad Air device should feature a Touch ID fingerprint scanner and an Apple A8 processor, along with further under-the-hood performance improvements.
Though last year’s iPad Air marked a real change in the device’s design, Apple’s upcoming 9.7-inch iPad has been described as a “real game changer,” according to recent reports.
