Apple's iAd sees biggest global expansion yet, now available in 95 countries
Apple has just announced that it has expanded iAd to more countries.
In what is clearly the biggest expansion yet for the mobile advertising platform since its original launch in 2010, the company has added 70 countries across different continents and regions around the world to iAd. As noted by 9to5Mac, this new set of supported countries nearly quadruples iAd’s previous global reach of 25 countries.
As noted by Apple in a news post on its developer portal, titled “Promote your apps and products in new countries with iAd“:
iAd is now available in 70 additional countries across the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia, expanding global reach to 95 countries. Ad campaigns can be created in minutes using iAd Workbench.
Apple late last August updated iAd with support for more countries along with new ad formats. Earlier this month, it brought iAd to nine new countries in Europe, thereby making the platform available in 25 countries across North America, Europe, and Asia.
