Instagram update ushers in optimization for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
Welcome to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus optimization party, Instagram. The Facebook-owned social network has just updated its app to fully support the higher resolution screens of Apple’s newest handsets.
Most importantly that means photos, along with images, will look much sharper and clearer on both handsets. No other changes were mentioned for version 6.1.3 of the app.
Designed for the iPhone/iPod touch, Instagram can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
Just yesterday, the main Facebook app for iOS devices was updated with the same improvement.
As for Instagram, the last major update arrived back in June with version 6.0. That edition brought 10 new photo editing tools for users to take advantage of. It also made it easier for users to share and upload videos.
The other Instagram-branded app in the store, Hyperlapse, received iPhone 6 optimization back in late September. That awesome app allows users to take high-quality time lapse videos.
