Limbic Software's Tower Madness 2 is Apple's free App of the Week

October 17, 2014

Tower Madness 2 has gone free for the first time as Apple’s App of the Week.

Released last January, Tower Madness 2 is the sequel to the popular TowerMadness tower defense and strategy game of sheep versus aliens developed by Limbic Software. As explained by Apple in its App Store notes:

Each week, we select a great app and bring it to you, for free, as our App of the Week. (In-App Purchases sold separately.) Limbic Software’s superb tower-defense game implores you to protect sheep from aliens using mortars, lasers, rockets, and more. Distinct 3D visuals and zany character models make Tower Madness 2 a pleasure to look at, while deep game mechanics reward shrewd strategy and resource management.

Previously priced at $1.99, Tower Madness 2 is free on the App Store through Wednesday next week at least. It’s compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later.

Tower Madness 2′s going free comes shortly after the arrival of the game’s 2.0 update, which brings 10 Halloween-themed maps, a new flamethrower, and other improvements.
