NHL 2K for iOS offers mobile hockey gaming with enhanced graphics and new modes
A week after coming out with NBA 2K15 for iOS, 2K has now released NHL 2K on the App Store.
“This year, NHL 2K is back and better than ever!” 2K notes. “Whet your hockey appetite with the brand-new all-star NHL experience on mobile.”
NHL 2K offers mobile hockey gaming worthy of its National Hockey League branding as it features enhanced graphics, live roster updates, and new game modes.
Like NBA 2K15, NHL 2K has a My Career mode that lets you control one player over multiple seasons. And while NBA 2K15 has a Quick Game mode, NHL 2K has a similar mode in the form of the Mini Rink mode, which lets you play fast-paced three-on-three matches.
NHL 2K also boasts a turn-based multiplayer shootout mode, which challenges you to compete with your friends via Game Center.
What’s more, just like its basketball counterpart, 2K’s new hockey mobile game supports iOS game controllers as well as on-screen controls.
NHL 2K is available now on the App Store for $7.99, with no in-app purchases whatsoever. It’s compatible with iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, fifth-generation iPod touch, iPad 2, third-generation iPad, fourth-generation iPad, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad mini, iPad mini 2, and iPad mini 3.
