How to spend a $25 iTunes gift card, (RED) edition
World AIDS Day is on Monday, Dec. 1. Now through Sunday, Dec. 7, Apple is running the first-ever global App Store initiative in support of (RED), with a number of apps and games having been updated with (RED)-inspired content to benefit the Global Fund. This week’s list features some of our favorites.
djay 2 for iPhone, $2.99
If you’re a djay, professional or otherwise, you can’t do much better that djay 2. For an additional $3.99, you can also buy a (RED) sample pack in-app. The iPad version is available for $9.99.
Threes!, $2.99, Universal game
Certainly one of the top iOS games of the year, Threes! is simply awesome.
Toca Town, $0.99, Universal game
We adore Toca Boca, and find Toca Town one of its best games for children to date. For a limited time, the game is only $0.99.
Clear, $4.99
First introduced in 2012, Clear continues to be one of the best to-do and reminders app on the App Store.
Monument Valley, $3.99, Universal game
We continue to love this game, especially when it is played on an iPad. A recently released in-app purchase adds even more levels of discovery.
Freebies of the week
For a limited time, Ellen DeGeneres’ chart-topping guessing game remains free on the App Store. Heads Up! is the perfect game for holiday gatherings.
Finally, there is CSR Racing. This freemium game was famously unveiled at Apple’s WWDC in 2012. It has been a favorite on the App Store ever since.
Another edition of “How to spend a $25 iTunes gift card” will be published next week. If you’d like your app or game featured on a future list, contact us on Twitter or through Facebook.
