New Final Fantasy games and companion app for iOS coming soon from Square Enix
Square Enix has just announced that it’s developing a couple of new mobile games and a new mobile companion app based on its popular Final Fantasy series of role-playing games.
As noted by Anime News Network (via Pocket Gamer), the new games are titled Final Fantasy Legends: Crystal of Space-Time and Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, and the new app is called Final Fantasy Portal App.
Final Fantasy Legends: Crystal of Space-Time follows the adventures of a number of characters who have crossed, as the game’s name suggests, space and time. Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, for its part, features battles fought among characters from past Final Fantasy games.
As for Final Fantasy Portal App, Anime News Network relates:
The app will allow fans to check the newest information about the franchise, and will also have the Final Fantasy VIII game Triple Triad available to play within the app. By registering their Square Enix ID and playing Triple Triad, players can receive points that they can exchange for digital contents.
No definite release dates have been provided by Square Enix for the new mobile Final Fantasy titles. But they may be expected to be released this winter initially in the developer’s home base of Japan.
For now, Final Fantasy fans with iOS devices can take advantage of Square Enix’s limited-time Final Fantasy sale on the App Store.
