Ace Ferrara & The Dino Menace returns to the App Store, free for a limited time only

December 29, 2014

As expected, Ace Ferrara & The Dino Menace has struck back.

The acclaimed arcade space opera shooter created by indie developer Philipp Seifried was released by BulkyPix in August. But as explained by Seifried:

I have recently ended my publishing deal with Bulkypix, and I’m self-publishing the game from here on out. Unfortunately they couldn’t transfer the app to my developer account (apps can’t be transferred if they use iCloud), so I needed to take it out of the store and get Apple to re-approve it as a new app. This means that all players who previously bought the game need to repurchase it.

Fortunately, in consideration of players who previously purchased the game, Seifried has decided to make the game downloadable by everyone, old and new players alike, free for a limited time.

Right on schedule, Ace Ferrara & The Dino Menace has re-emerged on the App Store. And it’s available at no cost until it reverts to its regular price of $2.99 on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015. So, make sure to grab it for free while you can.

The newly rereleased Ace Ferrara & The Dino Menace includes all of the features of the original version released under BulkyPix … and then some. With its relaunch, the game has also been updated with new features, including different types of missiles for different ships (such as swarm rockets and EMPs), a new “hard-to-the-max” difficulty mode (with four bonus missions), and new UI layouts optimized for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Ace Ferrara & The Dino Menace is back on the App Store as a free download for a limited time only.

Recommended for iOS gamers with “any fancy for arcade games, science-fiction adventures, and an ’80s cartoon experience,” Ace Ferrara & The Dino Menace was hailed as an AppAdvice Game of the Week shortly after its original release.
