Plague Inc. mutates with special holiday-themed scenario and more
Plague Inc., the “globally viral” strategy game developed by Ndemic Creations, has just undergone its 10th mutation, otherwise known as its 10th major content update.
Dubbed “Santa’s Little Helper,” Plague Inc.’s Mutation 10 features a special holiday-themed scenario. Ndemic Creations notes:
Infect the World with Happiness! Boring governments have banned holidays, laughter and celebrations. Luckily, the Neurax Worm has teamed up with Santa and is determined to infect the whole world with joy and happiness.
There’s also a new teleportation scenario, which features the ability to travel through portals and teleport to other countries.

The latest update to Plague Inc. also includes a new progress screen, gameplay tweaks for core disease types, human AI upgrades, starting country selection improvements, world population adjustments, and other enhancements.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Plague Inc. is available on the App Store for $0.99, with in-app purchases offered for unlocking additional content.
The game’s previous content update, Mutation 9 aka “Simian Flu,” was released in July as a tie-in to “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.”
As it happens, Mutation 10 also adds a number of new achievements to Simian Flu.
