The prospect is good for the upcoming episodic game based on FX's 'Sons of Anarchy'
“Sons of Anarchy,” the acclaimed crime drama FX series created by Kurt Sutter, is set to end with the airing of its series finale tonight. But the show is set to live on in the hands of mobile gamers with the forthcoming release of its official game for smartphones and tablets.
As announced by Fox Digital Entertainment, the upcoming game is called Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect. And similar to Telltale’s video game adaptations of AMC’s “Walking Dead” and HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” the game is apparently an episodic graphic adventure game of choice and consequence:
The interactive, episode-based game takes players on a new ride, with additional episodes becoming available on an ongoing basis. In keeping with the world Sutter has created, this extension of the mythology gives fans a chance to experience the treachery, graphic action, intrigue and life and death decision making they have come to anticipate from the show.
Notably, Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect is set to introduce an original story from a “previously unknown chapter” of the show’s central outlaw motorcycle club.
The game is being developed by the Canadian studios Orpheus Interactive and Silverback Games, in collaboration with Sutter himself and his creative team.
Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect is expected to come out along with its first episode in early 2015 for mobile phones and tablets, including, of course, iPhones and iPads.
