Twitter cofounder Biz Stone's Super! app updated with cross-posting and other features
Super!, the psychedelic photo-sharing app developed by Twitter cofounder Biz Stone's Jelly Industries, has just received a “super” update.
Released just last month, Super is a social networking app based on the idea of sharing vivid images with overlaid text. It lets you start with a prompt (e.g. “I love …” or “The best …”) to which you can add your thoughts and then overlay the words on an image from the app's library or from your device's.
For its latest update, which is apparently its biggest yet, Super's sharing functionality has been enhanced with the addition of cross-posting. Now, you can automatically post your Super creations automatically on Instagram, Tumblr, and Twitter as well as on the Super network. You can enable cross-posting to any or all of the supported third-party sites on the “Link It” screen, where you can also add a location, add a link, or set your creation to be “anonymish” à la Secret.
The update also adds the ability to “love” or like profile posts in Super by double-tapping them, as with normal posts in the app or posts in Instagram, for that matter.
Post-update, Super now also suggests interesting users for you to follow when you search for someone on the network. It now also boasts a more pleasing way of loading images in feeds, along with various other interface tweaks.
Super is the sophomore release of Jelly Industries, the first being its namesake Q&A app, Jelly, which was released and hailed as an AppAdvice App of the Week in January.
