Yahoo Weather update offers a revamped design for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
Powerful and well-designed Yahoo Weather has just taken a nice step up with an update to version 1.6.5.
First up, the app features a new design for the higher-resolution screens of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. That means both text and images look even better on both of those handsets.
Yahoo has also made some improvements to its animated effects. Originally introduced back in September, the animations appear in both the app and iOS 8 Notification Center widget during rain, snow, fog and intense heat. And today’s update brings animations for lightning and frost.
Yahoo Weather is universal and designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
The app originally landed back in 2013, and it went universal in December. It was also named as one of our Top 10 Best Free iPad Apps for that year.
One of my favorite features of the app was introduced with an update this summer. Daily Notifications provides a user with twice daily customizable weather forecasts – once in the morning with today’s weather and another time in the evening with tomorrow’s outlook.
