Zombies, Run! developer Six to Start wants to help you get fit Step Buy Step

December 12, 2014

Over the holiday season, Zombies, Run! and The Walk developer Six to Start is releasing four new fitness games as part of an event the developer has dubbed the Winter of Workouts. The first was launched last month in the form of the dungeon-crawling fitness game Dungeon Runner: Fitness Quest.

Now, the second one has been released, and it challenges you to take things Step Buy Step.

Touted as “A Pedometer Adventure,” Step Buy Step is a gamified pedometer app that encourages you to take more steps in the real world by letting you “buy” creature companions with the “Stepps” you earn:

From a canine compatriot to a helpful hedgehog, Step Buy Step includes dozens of animals who will help you complete your challenges. Every animal increases how many Stepps you earn for each step you take, and you’ll need every Stepp you can get if you’re going to win your wager with Phileas Fogg himself!

Phileas Fogg is, of course, the main protagonist of Jules Verne’s “Around the World in Eighty Days.” Do you have what it takes to take on Fogg by going around the world with your Stepps and creature companions? Only one way to find out: Step Buy Step.

Optimized for iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, Step Buy Step: A Pedometer Adventure is available now on the App Store for $1.99.
