Heyday's Apple Watch app lets you dictate notes, browse anniversaries and more on your wrist
Hey, Heyday users! A new update to your favorite automatic photo journal app is here.
Perhaps most notably, the latest update to Heyday adds support for the Apple Watch. This includes Heyday’s very own Apple Watch app that lets you dictate notes and browse your anniversaries on your wrist. This also lets you see, with a Glance, the last day when you were in your current location, and view new notifications with photos optimized for the Apple Watch.
The new version of Heyday also includes a couple of new features for the app’s collage functionality that make viewing photos from long events more manageable. Now, you can pinch in and out to merge and split collages and events, and see multiple collages created in one place under the same location.
Last but not least, the latest update to Heyday sees the much-awaited return of the app’s photo slideshow feature. So, go ahead and take a visual trip down memory lane with Heyday now.
Heyday is available on the App Store for free.
The app is supposedly optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later. But a bug has been found to cause crashes on devices running iOS 8.1 or earlier, in which case updating to the latest version of iOS (iOS 8.3) is recommended.
Heyday earned an AppAdvice App of the Week honorable mention shortly after its release in December 2013. In our original review, we praised the app for its self-writing capabilities: “if you don’t like to write a lot, but just see what you’ve done and where you’ve been, then Heyday makes the task easy by automating everything.”
