Fast-paced and fun arcade game Hyper Square is Apple’s latest App of the Week selection
Get your reflexes ready to go with the latest App of the Week selection from Apple. For the next seven days, fun and fast-paced twitch title Hyper Square can be downloaded for free. It’s usually $1.99.
In the game, you’ll have to be on the ball as you drag or flick squares into their designated targets. While it sounds easy, the difficulty level ramps up as you keep playing. And you’ll have to quickly learn a number of different gestures to keep up. You’ll need experience points to advance levels.
Originally arriving last summer, our own Christine Chan had high praise for the game in her review:
Hyper Square is surely one of the more challenging twitch reflex games I’ve played so far, and even though it can be quite rage-inducing, it’s still an absolute blast to play. The visuals are minimal, yet flashy, the music is amazing, and the challenging gameplay is instinctive.
If you love twitch reflex games, then you need to try Hyper Square if you haven’t already. Just try not to fling your phone across the room in rage.
Hyper Square is a universal app for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. As usual with this type of game, there are a number of in-app purchases available.
