The popular Sunrise Calendar has just made a big step up with an update to version 4.0.

Highlighting the new version is Meet, a quick and easy way to schedule a meeting. The unique feature takes the form of an iOS 8 keyboard, so you can select a meeting time without needing to actually open the Sunrise Calendar app itself.

As a nice touch, the other party doesn’t even need to be using Sunrise for Meet to work.

Here’s a video that shows more about Meet. Click here if you can’t see it.

And along with selecting your free time slots, you can also RSVP to a meeting with the feature.

Just to note, for anyone concerned about privacy, the Meet feature only shares available time slots of your choice. No other calendar events can be seen by other users.

Sunrise Calendar is a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.

You can also download an OS X version of the calendar on the Mac App Store for free.

Microsoft purchased Sunrise earlier this year, and the app has continued to get even better with the addition of new features. Starting last week, users are able to add the airing time and date of their favorite TV show right into their calendars.
