The AppAdvice tech week in review: Gearing up for the iPad Pro
Did you get your new Apple TV last week? Are you waiting for the iPad Pro to ship? Here are just a few of the stories making news during the week that was.
The biggest story of the week: Attention shifts to the iPad Pro
With the fourth-generation Apple TV now available, Cupertino is set to release the company’s final new product of 2015. The iPad Pro is expected to go on sale on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
First introduced in September, the iPad Pro will be available in three variants. The 32GB Wi-Fi edition is $799 while a 128GB Wi-Fi version is $949. A 128GB tablet, with built-in cellular networking along with Wi-Fi, will cost $1,079. Like other iOS devices, buyers can select from three color choices of each tablet – silver, space gray, or gold.
Apple will also be offering two optional accessories for the tablet – the $169 Smart Keyboard and the $99 Apple Pencil stylus.
Along with a 12.9-inch Retina screen, the iPad Pro is powered by an A9x chip and apparently features 4GB of RAM – twice the amount found in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
