Apple has just announced a major change for iTunes Radio. In an email to listeners, the company said that the ad-supported radio stations will be discontinued later this month on Thursday, Jan. 28.

An ad-free iTunes Radio service will now only be available to Apple Music subscribers. A subscription starts at $9.99 per month. You’ll still be able to listen to Beats 1 Radio for free.

The change more than likely ties into Apple’s earlier news that it is ceasing its iAd App Network. That news first leaked earlier this week, and Apple confirmed the information earlier today.
