December 12, 2017

Get ready to party, djay Pro 2 for Mac is here. From developer Algoriddim, the app sports a huge number of new features.

Easily the most interesting new feature is artificially intelligent DJ mixing via Spotify. Named Automix AI, its uses machine learning and training sets from human DJs to identify rhythmic patterns along with the best intro and outro sections of a song.

The mixing technology allows for DJs to create seamless mixes in a number of different genres.

Another feature, Match, is a song recommendation engine from Spotify that provides a continuous queue of songs based on a number of factors like danceability, BPM, and key.

Other new features include PhotoBeat that unifies music with photos to create a beat-matched slideshow, a redesigned UI, and a new library management system.

You can download day Pro 2 for the Mac from the Mac App Store for $39.99 for a limited time. The standard price will increase to $49.99 after the sale ends. You’ll need a Mac running macOS 10.11 or later.

On your iPhone or iPad, you can also check out two other apps from the developer – djay 2 and vjay.

Available separately for $4.99 on the iPad and $1.99 on the iPhone, djay 2 brings the music party to your iOS device.

A mashup machine for music and videos, vjay is $2.99 for the iPhone and $9.99 on the iPad.
