Apple Pay Cash is Now Officially Available in iOS 11.2
After the unusual rollout of iOS 11.2 to the general public this weekend, Apple has just switched on one of the biggest new features – Apple Pay Cash.
A Venmo-like peer-to-peer payment service, Apple Pay Cash can now be used by anyone with an iPhone or iPad running iOS 11.2. Users can send and receive money using Apple Pay through iMessage.
Whenever you receive money through Apple Pay Cash, it’s added to a virtual debit card that’s available in the Wallet app. The card can be used to make Apple Pay purchases in brick-and-mortar stores, apps, or on the web.
The Apple Pay Cash balance can also be transferred to a bank account when needed.
It will also be available using watchOS 4.2. That software is still in beta testing but should be released to the public soon.
