Ask and You Shall Receive with Lexi for Alexa Voice Services
Lexi – for Alexa Voice Services is the new companion for the Amazon Alexa app giving you more power than ever before. From checking the latest headlines and sports scores to controlling your smart home devices and reordering products from Amazon, Lexi does it all.
Check the weather
Make sure that your Amazon Alexa settings include your street address and zip code. Then just tap and hold down on Lexi screen, ask what the weather is, and then release your finger. You will hear your local conditions and a brief forecast for the day.
Add groceries to your shopping list
Whatever it is that you need from the store, Lexi can add it to your shopping list. This is a great feature for adding one simple item or a huge list of products without having to type them in or write them down. Then when you open your Amazon Alexa app, your list is ready to go.
Add tasks to your to-do list
Just like adding items to your shopping list, you can add tasks to your to-do list with Lexi. Again, simply tap and hold down on the screen and tell Lexi what task should be added. Release your finger when you are done and Lexi will confirm it and add it for you.
These are very basic examples of what Lexi can do to help you out, but there is more. If you have smart home devices added and if you have enabled Skills in your Amazon Alexa app, you can control them with Lexi. Get traffic information, find out which movies are playing nearby, or reorder eligible Amazon Prime products just by asking Lexi.
Lexi is responsive and super easy to use, making it the perfect companion for Amazon Alexa. Please note that you do need an Amazon account to use Lexi. The app is available for $4.99 on the App Store and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
