Get your new Apple TV ready for 'Let us loop you in' event

On previous models of the Apple TV, the channel to watch the events would automatically appear on the home screen. Not so with the fourth-generation Apple TV. You have to install the app from the tvOS App Store, and it’s harder to find than you might expect. I did a quick glance through the featured tab of the tvOS App Store, and the Apple Events listing was nowhere to be found. Perhaps that will change over the weekend, but for now you’ll have to search for “Apple Events” to find it.

You will also be able to access the live stream on Macs, PCs, and iOS devices through Apple’s event website. You’ll need to have iOS 7 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X 10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Older, second- and third-generation Apple TV devices should have the channel appear on their home screens soon.

If you install the Apple Events app now, it won’t give you a sneak peek of the upcoming presentation. The app just tells you what time to tune in, in your local timezone. Below that, however, you’ll find previous events that you can watch now, if you want to relive Apple history.

In case you missed it, Apple’s spring event is expected to see the launch of a new 4-inch iPhone, potentially called the “iPhone SE.” The device is rumored to look much like an iPhone 5s, but include an A9 processor, a better camera, and Apple Pay support. We are also expecting to see the unveiling of a new 9.7-inch iPad Pro, including a four-speaker design, a Smart Connector, and display improvements for Apple Pencil support. Finally, we are expecting new Apple Watch bands to be introduced.
