iOS 13.1 is Available Now for Your iPhone
Less than a week after Apple released iOS 13, the new iOS 13.1 update is now available for iPhone.
There are two different ways to update. First, you can download over-the-air on your iPhone by going to General > Settings > Software Update. You can also update through iTunes.
Along with being more stable than iOS 13, the update brings a number of minor new features.
Anyone with an iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, or iPhone 11 Pro Max can select who they want to AirDrop to thanks to the new Ultra Wideband chip on those devices.
The Shortcuts app adds automation to the mix. That allows you to run specific shortcuts based on triggers. You can see suggested automations in the app’s Gallery tab.
Using the Maps app, you can also send an ETA to friends or family while a route is in progress.
Finally, an audio sharing feature allows more than one pair of headphones to be connected to an iPhone. That feature works for any AirPods or Beats headphones with an H1 or W1 chip.
