Superheroes and Supervillains Unite in DC Legends
DC Comics’ foray into expanded storytelling through theatrical films has been less than satisfactory, especially in comparison with the largely successful Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fortunately, for the most part this misfortune doesn’t extend to its video games. Case in point: the iOS game DC Legends.
With DC Legends, the eponymous entertainment company builds on its celebrated “Blackest Night” comic books crossover storyline to deliver a role-playing game of epic proportions. In the game, Nekron and the Manhunters have arrived on the planet to eradicate it of all life using their dark forces, and it’s up to both the superheroes and the supervillains to defeat the enemies by first turning into legends. And it’s up to you to help them on their journey of transformation and triumph, tapping at the right spots at the right moments during battles and in between.
Supers v. Manhunters
A story-driven campaign lets you engage in battles against Nekron and his army of Manhunters across Metropolis, Themyscira, Thanagar, and other well-known environments from the DC Universe. Vivid 3-D graphics and dynamic sounds help you get deeper into the action as you take advantage of special powers such as Superman’s Heat Vision, Flash’s Speed Force Vortex, and Bizarro’s Flame Breath.
Super team
To increase your chances of stopping Blackest Night from happening, you must form a super team not only of superheroes like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, but also of supervillains like The Joker, Harley Quinn, and Doomsday. These are desperate times, you know.
Super rewards
Collect gear for your characters and upgrade them toward legendary status, complete with more impressive super powers and new visual personas to boot. With your vastly enhanced super team, you can very well compete against other players around the world and forge your very own legend in the leagues and on the leaderboards.
