You might want to hold onto those wired headphones for a just a bit longer. A new purported “iPhone 7” part leak published on Chinese social network Weibo (via 9to5Mac) shows at least one version of the handset with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The leaked pictured is apparently from the board of a 4.7-inch iPhone. So that does lead to one interesting possibility – the smaller “iPhone 7” will offer a 3.5mm headphone jack while the larger version of the handset with a 5.5-inch screen forgoes the age-old technology. That would be a controversial move.

According to 9to5Mac, the Weibo poster doesn’t have any type of track record with leaking accurate iPhone parts. But it’s still an interesting idea and could signal Apple may be looking to truly make the larger iPhone a premium product with a number of exclusive features.

One of the most rumored features is some type of dual-lens camera system only for the larger “iPhone 7.” It could possibly feature some type of optical zoom. One lens could support a wide field of view while the other might feature telephoto technology. Independent images are captured from both lenses which are then combined into a single photo using special algorithms.

Other reports have also indicated that the devices will be both dustproof and waterproof. The larger handset might also be offered in a 256GB storage option – double the current 128GB edition.

Both handsets are expected to officially arrive sometime this fall.
