We’re less than a month away from the rumored official announcement of the “iPhone 7.” And new images leaked on Chinese social network Weibo, first spotted by Techtastic.nl, show the space black version of both the smaller and larger version of the handset.

With and without a Smart Connector

Interestingly, in the same batch of images, the larger version of the handset is shown with and without a Smart Connector. As noted by AppleInsider, the version of the handset with the connector appear to have an “S” mark below the word iPhone. That’s missing on the version without a connector.

Both models show a dual-lens camera system. The smaller version, as expected, only shows a camera with a single lens.

Earlier rumors pointed to Apple releasing three different versions of the handset – a 4.7-inch version and two 5.5-inch editions. The so-called “Pro” version would feature the Smart Connector. But a number of other sources have insisted Apple will – like with the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 cycle – release two versions of the device.

Along with removing the 3.5mm headphone jack, the Home button on the next-generation devices is expected to feature a touch-sensitive Home button that works like the Force Touch trackpad on some MacBooks. That could make the handset more water resistant.

A recent report from Bloomberg says that Apple could announce the handset at a special event on Wednesday, Sept. 7 and be available to purchase the next week.
