SquareTrade isn’t done putting the iPhone 7 through its paces. Earlier this week, the insurance provider put the handset tested out the handset by dunking it in water and dropping it from various heights.
Now the company has just released a fun new video with professional surfer Kai Lenny. The big wave and standup paddle surfer takes Apple’s new handsets for a ride. For comparison, he also surfed with the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
Here’s the complete video.
As you can see, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus live up to their water resistance claims, surviving a 30-minute jaunt in the salt water. The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus weren’t as lucky as they both failed after around 5 minutes in the ocean.
The new iPhone 7 models officially launched late las week. You can purchase an iPhone 7 starting at $649 and the iPhone 7 Plus at $769. There are three different memory options – 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Along with the two black models, buyers can also select from a silver, rose gold, and gold option.
