Google won’t be launching a YouTube TV Apple TV app before the end of the year. Instead, apps for Apple TV and Roku will launch sometime in the first quarter of 2018, according to CNET.

The doctor's not in until 2018.

In addition to YouTube TV apps for Apple TV and Roku, Google is expected to introduce support for older smart TVs, including Samsung sets from 2014 and 2015, and Linux-based Sony TVs.

Currently available in nearly 80 cities in the United States, YouTube TV launched earlier this year. Priced at $35-per-month, the live TV service serves as a direct competitor to cable and satellite television. It also competes against similar services such as DirecTV Now, PlayStation Vue, Sling TV, and Hulu.

In October, Google said a dedicated YouTube TV Apple TV app would launch “in the coming weeks.”

Though it’s not yet available on Apple TV, YouTube TV does support iOS and Android phones and tablets. You can also watch it on PC browsers, Xbox One, Chromecast, and more.
