Music and entertainment app Shazam has recently been updated to add a nice slate of new features for both iPhone and iPad users.
The first new addition in version 6.1 of the app is Shazam Pulse. Users can find fresh new music and preview from the trending, real-time charts. The feature is available on the iPad by swiping right on the homescreen and on the iPhone by swiping right in the Discover section.
Along with smoother loading of the Friends section, the tab bar also has a revamped look on the iPhone.
The Settings menu is now located on the top left of the home screen. When a friend tags a piece of media, it will appear in the tab bar. Finally, chart updates are also displayed in the new section.
On the iPad version, it is now easier to delete tags from Favorites. Users can then tap edit to select tags.
All three universal apps, Shazam, Shazam Encore, and (Shazam) RED, are available to download now in the App Store. Shazam is free while Shazam Encore or (Shazam) RED will set you back $6.99.
Just late last month, version 6.0 of the app was introduced. That update was highlighted by universal support, a new design, and a new auto-tagging feature.
