July 29, 2013
Shazam has received a new iOS update for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. Version 6.2 includes new multi-track purchasing, improvements to recommendations and accessibility, and more.
Available via Shazam, Shazam Encore, and (Shazam) RED, the update ties the app closer to iTunes by making it easier to buy multiple songs on the go. When you’ve tagged a number of songs, you can now go back and buy them all at the same time. To do so, go to My Tags (or Favorites on the iPad), tap “Select & Buy,” pick the songs you want, and then tap “Buy” to purchase in iTunes.
Recommendations in Shazam now include songs recently purchased by fellow Shazamers. To access these, go to My Tags, and then tap “Recommendations.”
Other Shazam 6.2 features include:
Shazam (free), Shazam Encore ($6.99), and (Shazam) RED ($6.99) are available now in the App Store. See also: Shazam Update Brings New 'Pulse' Feature, and Shazam Heats Up The Summer With New Auto Tagging Feature For iPad.
