Skype has just updated its iOS apps with a very nice new feature. With a fourth-generation iPad or iPhone 5, users can now make HD quality video calls.
And along with general improvements to call quality and stability, version 4.10 of both apps feature a redesigned country code picker on the dial pad.
Both Skype for iPad and Skype for iPhone can be downloaded now in the App Store for free.
Before today’s improvements, the last update to the app was in mid-June. Version 4.9 allowed users to record short video clips, up to three minutes long, and send them directly to contacts. The recipient can download the video when they are online. The free clips can be viewed on any platform or device that can run Skype.
