Welcome back to our weekly look at the newest iOS device accessories. This week, we’re featuring a powerful quadricopter, a new Bluetooth speaker line, and more.
AR Drone 2.0 Power Edition from Parrot
One of the coolest iOS device accessories out there – the AR Drone 2.0 from Parrot – is getting even better with the introduction of the Power Edition. The new version still has all the fun of the original quadricopter, but comes with some improvements. First, Parrot has included two high capacity batteries that offer 18 minutes of flying time each. And along with a new piano black finish, flyers can mix and match four sets of colored propellers – black, red, blue, and orange.
The Power Edition retails for $369.99. It is currently available through Brookstone in the United States.
MOVE M from NudeAudio
Newcomer NudeAudio has recently bared it all by introducing a nice looking set of reasonably priced Bluetooth speakers to the market. The line retails from $49.99 to $99.99, and the MOVE M looks like a great choice sitting in the middle with a $69.99 price tag. Featuring Bluetooth 3.0 technology, the speaker has a range of up to 30 feet and a battery that lasts up to eight hours on a single charge. All of the speakers will be available to order later this month.
Boa brief from booq
Just in time for the start of back-to-school season, booq has recently unveiled a new medium-sized laptop bag – the Boa brief. Along with a water-repellant ballistic nylon exterior, the bag can hold up to a 17-inch Mac laptop. The split-opening design also includes a wealth of pockets, including a dedicated slot for both an iPhone and iPad.
The Boa brief retails for $149.99 and can be purchased now on booq’s site and at other retailers. It’s available in a graphite color with gunmetal hardware. An extra-long removable shoulder strap also quickly converts the bag into a messenger brief.
PROTKT iPhone 5 Bike Mount and Case from Wahoo Fitness
Wahoo Fitness’ new PROTKT case is designed to turn any iPhone 5 into a full-featured and mountable bike computer. The weatherproof and shockproof case works with the free Wahoo Fitness app to allow bikers to keep track of all the most up-to-date information about their ride. The app can also be combined with other wireless fitness tools, like the company’s Blue HR Heart Rate Strap, which I reviewed last year.
All of the phone’s functions are still fully available, and the case locks onto handlebars with a quick quarter-turn twist.
You can snag the PROTKT for $69.99 on the Wahoo Fitness site.
