Update Ahoy! Anchor Gets iOS 7 Redesign And Adds Company Directory

September 15, 2013
Anchor by Tomfoolery has just received a new major update that primarily enables it to set sail smoothly on iOS 7. Released late last June, Anchor is a social networking app designed specially for coworkers. "Anchor is a great way to connect with your coworkers in the off-hours, forming stronger bonds and encouraging social interaction," we noted in our AppAdvice App of the Week citation for the app. "It’s a great little app for teams, which is why we love it." And we love it even more now since it's been updated with a beautifully redesigned interface, accentuated by iOS 7-style flatness and translucency. The new interface also comes with the new company directory, which lists your teams and all of the people that you work with. From here you can easily contact any person or team. Just pull down on the sidebar or tap the search icon above it to search for people or teams. The new version of Anchor is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later. The latest update to Anchor also includes some bug fixes and a simple sign-up process using only a company email. This update is only the second major update to arrive for Anchor. The first one, which arrived early last month, added the ability to save posts to Evernote, send posts via email, administer teams, and easily invite coworkers and friends.
