As Night Falls, Badland's Day II Chapter Comes To An Epic Conclusion ... With Lasers
November 28, 2013
The night is dark and full of terrors. Just ask the tiny flying creatures of Badland, which has just been updated with a new Night stage.
The new Night stage brings the award-winning puzzle platformer game's Day II chapter to an epic conclusion. Day II began last May with the Dawn stage, and it continued in July with the Noon stage and in September with the Dusk stage.
And now, here comes Night, which is indeed dark and full of terrors. And by "terrors," I mean extremely dangerous lasers, as shown in the video below:

Night offers 10 new levels of challenging puzzle platforming fun, that is, if your idea of fun is seeing tiny flying creatures getting fried by laser beams. The addition of these levels brings the total level count of Badland to 80, twice its original count when it was released last April.
The new Night stage also comes with seven new achievements and 30 new missions. Note, though, that in order to unlock the missions, you must play or replay each level without skipping. Yup, you can now skip a checkpoint after multiple failed attempts in Badland.
The new version of Badland is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $3.99 download. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later.
Badland is a former AppAdvice Game of the Week awardee and one of this year’s winners of the Apple Design Awards. In addition, Badland was one of the “groundbreaking” games selected by Apple as part of its App Store fifth anniversary blowout last July.
