Another Thanksgiving means another record day for Instagram.
In a blog post, the company said that yesterday was “our busiest so far.” Unfortunately, the popular image and video sharing service didn’t provide any exact numbers.
Along with the Thanksgiving holiday here in the United States, Thursday was also the first day of Hanukkah. That was the first time since 1888 that the holidays shared a calendar date, and it will be the last for tens of thousands of years.
Thanksgiving Day 2012 was also a record breaker for Instagram. During part of that day, more than 200 holiday-related photos were posted every minute.
Instagram is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and can be downloaded now in the App Store.
Just last week, news broke that the Facebook-owned property is planning to add a private messaging feature in the next version of the app, which is expected to arrive sometime before the end of the year. The feature will also apparently contain some type of group component.
