If you live in a country that doesn’t support the Maps app’s turn-by-turn navigation feature, consider downloading MapsAllCountries. This brand new jailbreak tweak enables the feature for certain iDevice users, and is optimized for both iOS 6 and iOS 7.
MapsAllCountries is as simple as that: according to iDevice users living in a number of countries overseas, such as Brazil, the jailbreak tweak indeed enables the Maps app’s turn-by-turn navigation feature. Though others have noted that in their country of residence, MapsAllCountries doesn’t activate the feature. The best option, then, is for iDevice users to try the free jailbreak tweak out for themselves.
There are no additional options to configure in the Settings app; all users must do is install MapsAllCountries, and wait for their iDevice to respring.
As a reminder, jailbreak releases for both iOS 6.1.3 (and iOS 6.1.4) and iOS 7 have surfaced online. For iOS 6 users, p0sixspwn can provide an untethered jailbreak solution for iDevice owners; iOS 7 users can liberate their iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using the evad3rs’ evasi0n jailbreak software.
Plus, according to Jay Freeman (@saurik), a MobileSubstrate update for the 64-bit Apple A7 processor is now available in the Cydia Store (called “Cydia Substrate”), meaning iPhone 5s, iPad Air, and iPad mini with Retina display users can enjoy installing jailbreak apps and tweaks on their iDevice. Check back with us later today, because we’ll have a video on Cydia’s MobileSubstrate update.
Already, a bunch of jailbreak tweaks can help iDevice users get the most out of iOS 7, and if your favorite jailbreak app or tweak hasn’t been optimized for the seventh iteration of Apple’s mobile OS, this quick workaround could help.
