Cydia Tweak: Re-Map Control Center's Clock Icon Using CCClockOpenToAlarm
Countless jailbreak tweaks and apps are in the process of reaching the Cydia Store, and we’ve been sharing some of the most useful ones with you since the evad3rs released evasi0n7. One recent package provides jailbreakers with a means of re-mapping Control Center’s Clock app icon, and it can be downloaded free of charge in the Cydia Store.
Called CCClockOpenToAlarm, the free jailbreak tweak is as simple as it is effective. Once downloaded and installed, users will find that rather than directing jailbreakers over to the Clock app’s timer screen, CCClockOpenToAlarm will instead send iDevice owners straight over to the alarm interface when users touch Control Center’s Clock icon.
Given that most of us probably use our Clock app for alarms far more than we do for its timer feature, this jailbreak tweak will definitely come in handy. CCClockOpenToAlarm adds no additional options to the Settings app, nor does it add an icon to the Home screen; installing the jailbreak tweak will enable the change, and to disable CCClockOpenToAlarm users will have to uninstall the package from the Cydia application.
CCClockOpenToAlarm is the latest in a line of jailbreak tweaks that promise to improve iOS 7. For the iPhone 5s, a number of packages have also striven to enhance the performance of Touch ID: Virtual Home adds “virtual button” functionality to the fingerprint-scanning feature, while BioProtect allows users to protect individual iOS applications using Touch ID.
Besides Virtual Home and BioProtect, our favorite new jailbreak tweaks include Messages Customiser, Assistant Unrestrictor, and BatterySafe for iOS 7.
