Powerful read-later app Instapaper has just been updated with a slate of new features.
Most importantly, version 5.1.5 now offers Instapaper Daily integration. Launching on the Web late last year, the feature is designed to showcase the most popular articles being read through the service.
Users who purchase the optional subscription service can now use the Send to Kindle functionality. Also, subscriptions now renew automatically.
And along with AirPlay support and other minor enhancements, the update fixes back gestures with pagination enabled.
A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Instapaper can be downloaded now on the App Store for $3.99.
The optional subscription service can be unlocked with an in-app purchase of $2.99 for three months or $11.99 per year. Along with the new Send to Kindle integration, users can also take advantage of full-text search of the articles in their account and use third-party apps that plug into the Instapaper API.
After receiving a major update in September that coincided with the introduction of iOS 7, the app was updated in October to add support for the Background App Refresh function.
