Star Wars: Tiny Death Star Enlists Salvage Droids For Deep-Galaxy Missions
March 1, 2014
In a galaxy far, far away ... you can now amass exclusive items with the help of the Salvage Droids in Star Wars: Tiny Death Star.
Earlier this month, the popular Star Wars-themed 8-bit business simulation game received a major update that brought an imperial assignments overhaul, special events, a cargo bay floor, and Facebook integration.
Now, a new update has arrived to help you continue your quest to build the largest Death Star, level by pixelated level, with the new Salvage Droids.
"Do the Emperor’s bidding, and send Salvage Droids on missions deep into the galaxy to collect valuable resources for your Death Star," the update's release notes suggest. "Collect exclusive floors, characters, and other rewards that you can’t obtain anywhere else!"

The new version of Star Wars: Tiny Death Star is available now in the App Store for free. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later.
Star Wars: Tiny Death Star was hailed as AppAdvice's Game of the Week shortly after its release last November.
The game is developed by Disney in collaboration with LucasArts and NimbleBit, the creator of Tiny Tower (on which the game is decidedly based).
Just yesterday, NimbleBit released its latest game, the disco-themed zoo simulation game Disco Zoo, which it developed in partnership with Milkbag Games.
