This Jailbreak Tweak Can Make Low Power Alerts A Thing Of The Past

February 12, 2014

Battery life alerts might be useful for some, but most of us – myself included – probably find that because they keep a close enough eye on their battery life indicator, these pop-up notifications are somewhat redundant and more often than not merely get in the way. Fortunately, a new jailbreak tweak called NoLowPowerAlert can easily make battery life alerts a thing of the past.

You can pick up the new jailbreak package free of charge in the Cydia Store, and as far as jailbreak tweaks go, this is one of the most simple. All jailbreakers need to do is download NoLowPowerAlert in the Cydia Store, install it on their handset, and sit back – because battery life alerts will now be disabled.

Of course, you’ll need to keep a close eye on your battery life once the jailbreak tweak has been installed, because Apple’s iOS won’t warn you when your iPhone starts running low on juice. Perhaps it might be a good idea to add a more readable battery life indicator to your handset using an Alkaline-powered package, like Circular Battery?

If you happen to download NoLowPowerAlert but aren’t enjoying the jailbreak tweak, remember that in order to disable the feature, you’ll need to outright remove the package from your Cydia application. This can be done from within the “Manage” tab (under the “Packages” section).

As mentioned, NoLowPowerAlert can be downloaded in the Cydia Store free of charge.
