Facebook Update Brings Three New Features

Facebook Update Brings Three New Features

April 18, 2014
Just a month after unveiling version 8.0, Facebook’s official iOS app has made the  jump to version 9.0. The update brings three new features. Most importantly, it allows users to reply directly to comments on certain pages that have the feature turned on. With the iPad version of the app, users can now see posts about trending topics highlighted in their News Feed. Finally, group administrators can easily review and approve pending posts by group members. A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Facebook can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. Earlier today, the social networking giant announced a new Nearby Friends capability for the iPhone app. Much like Apple’s own Find My Friends, the opt-in feature shows Facebook friends near your location. Nearby Friends will be rolled out to users in the United States over the coming weeks. It won’t require an app update.
