Hungry Like The Wolf For The Wolf Among Us: Episode 3? It's Coming Next Week
Telltale Games announced in a Twitter update last night that the third episode of The Wolf Among Us is coming next week. Though we don’t have a precise date yet, Telltale noted that desktop computers and consoles will receive the new content between April 8–9.
The news came not long after we shared a new trailer for The Wolf Among Us: Episode Three, called “Crooked Mile.” Though we speculated that a release would occur soon, Telltale has now confirmed that for iOS devices, Crooked Mile will be available to unlock “next week.” The unpredictable nature of the App Store’s approval process could be what’s presently holding Telltale back from offering a more concrete release date.
As mentioned, the news came in a Twitter update which read:
Release dates for #TheWolfAmongUs Ep3! 4/8: PC/Mac WW, PS3 North America; 4/9: Xbox 360 WW, PS3 EU; iOS next week too.
Below, we’ve included a trailer for the next episode, and as per it should be available to unlock for a $4.99 in-app purchase. It comes following the first two episodes in the five-part season, “Faith” and “Smoke and Mirrors,” and it’ll be followed by two further instalments: “In Sheep’s Clothing” and “Cry Wolf.”
Though each episode can indeed be purchased for $4.99, a season pass of $14.99 is also offered by Telltale, and this obviously bags gamers 25 percent off the total price of episodes two to five.
The Wolf Among Us is based on the popular “Fable” comic book series, and the season centers around Bigby the Big Bad Wolf and his increasingly violent meetings with characters from fairy tales and folklore. As a reminder, Telltale is also behind another popular episodic iOS game – Walking Dead: The Game – and as of this writing the title is onto its second season.
We’ll let you know once The Wolf Among Us launches its third episode. In the meantime, you can pick up the app for $4.99 on the App Store, and it’s optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
