Angry Birds Stella Is Rovio's New Line Of Games, Cartoons, Toys, Books And More

June 4, 2014
Last February, Rovio teased a new title in its Angry Birds franchise called Angry Birds Stella. Back then, it wasn't really clear what Angry Birds Stella was or would be. But now, the company has revealed the first details about the title. Apparently, Angry Birds Stella is a new line of games, cartoons, books, consumer products, and whatnots celebrating friendship and female heroism and featuring Stella the pink bird along with her BFFs and frenemy:
Angry Birds Stella opens up an exciting new chapter in the Angry Birds universe with a new flock of fierce friends. Stella, Poppy, Willow, Dahlia and Luca share a common love for adventure and fun, but as in the real world, their colorful personalities sometimes clash! Still, they pull together to find creative and fun solutions to their problems. There’s also Gale, a good bird gone bad, who wants to rule over the birds’ island habitat. True to the Angry Birds spirit, Stella and her friends have a playful, offbeat attitude and great sense of humor. After all, they’re best friends forever – most of the time!
Stella and her friends will first appear in a new game set to be released in September. The game features the familiar slingshot gameplay of the Angry Birds series, except it's set above the treetops of Golden Island and played against Gale and her pig minions. Then, beginning in November, Stella and the gang will be appearing in their very own weekly animated series on ToonsTV, with the first season consisting of 13 six-minute episodes. In addition, there will be Angry Birds Stella books, plush toys, clothes, accessories, and Telepods figures.
