Opera Coast Web browser updated with improved iCloud syncing for iPhone and iPad
Opera has just released a “major minor update” to its gesture-based Web browser app for iOS, Opera Coast.
Launched in September last year for iPad as Coast by Opera, Opera Coast was updated to version 3.0 last April with universal support for iPhone (see promo video below) along with more features for both iPhone and iPad.
One of these features was iCloud syncing. But it supported syncing of home screen tiles only.
Now, though, iCloud syncing in Opera Coast has been considerably improved by the app's new 3.1 update. “We improved iCloud syncing to make it even easier for you to resume Coast iPhone browsing on your iPad, and vice versa,” Opera says in the update's release notes.
Opera Coast's enhanced iCloud syncing boasts better syncing of the most recently visited sites, syncing of the last visited page of a site, and secure syncing of passwords via iCloud Keychain integration.

Moreover, it introduces support for sharing pages and images via AirDrop, delivers performance improvements for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, and brings some bug fixes.
Late last month, Opera surprisingly updated the iOS edition of its flagship mobile Web browser, Opera Mini, to version 8.0 with a new design and several significant new features.
