Angry Birds Stella will land on the App Store Sept. 4
More than six months after it was first revealed, Rovio has finally given a release date for Angry Birds Stella. The latest chapter in the immensely popular Angry Birds franchise will arrive on Thursday, Sept. 4.
In the new game Stella takes a vacation from her angry flock and travels to Golden Island. There Stella and her friends, including Willow, Poppy, Dahlia, and more will battle against evil bird Gale, and not surprisingly, those bad piggies.
Here’s a recently released cinematic trailer. Click here if you can’t see it.
And Rovio has big plans for the spinoff. Back in June, we reported that a new line of games, cartoons, consumer products, and more celebrating Stella and her friends are in the pipeline.
The ladies will also be featured in their own weekly animated series on ToonsTV. A first season, made up of 13 six-minute episodes, will arrive starting in November.
More information about the game can be found on the official Angry Birds Stella site.
While I wasn’t a big fan of the last Angry Birds game, Epic, Stella definitely looks like fun.
