Apple offering 10 percent discount on Beats by Dr. Dre products online and in-store
Apple has just begun offering a limited-time discount on Beats by Dr. Dre products.
Both on its online store and in its brick-and-mortar retail stores, the company has discounted Beats by Dr. Dre accessories by 10 percent. According to 9to5Mac, the markdown is effective only through Saturday, Aug. 23.
All Beats by Dr. Dre products are covered by the discount, with one notable exception: the Beats Pill Dude, the speaker dock whose likeness serves as Beats’ mascot, remains available for its regular price of $49.95.
The markdown comes a week after Apple added a dedicated Beats by Dr. Dre microsite to its online store’s accessory section, which itself appeared a week after Apple finalized its $3 billion acquisition of Beats Electronics and Beats Music.
Earlier this week, Apple began including the official iOS app of Beats Music to the list of Apple apps first-time App Store visitors are encouraged to download and also added the app to its “Apps Made by Apple” listing on the App Store.
