Latest 'iPhone 6' images highlight tweaked internals and gold, silver and gray design
The latest leaked images of “iPhone 6” internals indicate that the device will indeed come in three different colors, while also demonstrating that a number of internal components will be different to those of the current-generation iPhone 5s.
Published at Nowhereelse.fr (via 9to5mac), the images (above and below) show off SIM card trays — along with a speaker and vibrator motor — purpotedly designed for Cupertino’s upcoming “iPhone 6” handset. As you can see, the SIM card trays come in three familiar colors – gold, silver, and gray – however, as 9to5mac observes, it seems the Space Gray tray is a slightly lighter shade compared with the Space Gray iPhone 5s, iPad Air, and iPad mini with Retina display.
The website adds: “What is very noticeable is the curved edge to the SIM tray, which will make a seamless line with the iPhone 6’s curved edges, seen countless times before.” Indeed, numerous reports and concept designs have suggested that a curved “iPhone 6” is incoming, and the design of the above SIM card trays appears to support this theory.
Nowhereelse.fr adds that both the pictured speaker and vibrator motor are bigger compared with those of the iPhone 5s. Whether either change will have a marked effect on the device of course remains to be seen.
Apple is expected to unveil its “iPhone 6” on Sept. 9; before this, we’ll be publishing our annual iPhone trade-in guide on Sept. 4, and we’re expecting Cupertino to release its next-generation smartphone on Sept. 19.
