The NomadPlus adds an external battery pack to your Apple USB wall charger

August 1, 2014
Nomad is back with another charging accessory. The new NomadPlus adds a 1,500 mAH backup battery to any stock Apple USB wall charger, something pretty much every iOS device owner has lying around the house. After attaching the NomadPlus, it is easy to charge your iOS device and the battery itself. With special passthrough technology, it will charge your phone first before juicing up the battery itself. Once the battery is fully charged and unplugged from the wall, it can charge a completely dead iPhone 5s to 70 percent. Keeping with the wall charger’s slim profile, the NomadPlus itself weighs only 2.1 ounces. It also offers an LED status indicator on the front of the battery. The NomadPlus can be preordered now for $39. Entering “nomadplus” at checkout now discounts any order to just $19.50. It will ship in late November. If you’re interested, Nomad also offers a number of other unique accessories focused on charging, including the NomadClip charger shaped like a carbineer.
